Tähe-Lee Liiv

Tähe-Lee Liiv (b. 11.11.2003 in Estonia) studies at the Sibelius Academy with Hui-Ying Liu-
Tawaststjerna since 2018. She also takes lessons with Ivari Ilja and Marrit Gerretz-Traksmann at the
Tallinn Music High School and at the Estonian Accademy of Music and Theatre. She has also
attended piano masterclasses of Dmitri Bashkirov, Konstantin Bogino, Piotr Paleczny, Vladimir
Ovchinnikov, among others. Tähe-Lee Liiv is a first-prize winner in many national and international
piano competitions, including the Estonian National Television’s live-broadcast talent show
“Klassikatähed” (2020); Ninth Competition of Estonian Pianists (2019); Concerto Competition
‘Theodor Leschetizky’ (New York, 2019); International Piano Competition in San Dona di Piave (Italy,
2018); and “First Mart Saar Competition for Estonian Pianists 2018” (2018). Tähe-Lee Liiv has
performed as a soloist with the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, the New York Camerata
Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Pärnu Town Orchestra, Chioggia Symphony Orchestra, Alion
Baltic Festival Orchestra, and Virumaa Chamber Orchestra. In addition, she has made guest
appearances at the Concertino Praga Festival in the Czech Republic, and the Mänttä Music Festival in
Finland. Besides piano playing, Tähe-Lee Liiv enjoys studying and performing chamber music.
